As a necessity for genealogical research, some personal information is collected by Celtic Kinfolk.
To respond to clients, some contact information is requested, this is a name, email address, and telephone number. Contact information is never shared with anyone outside of Celtic Kinfolk. Contact details can be deleted on request.
To keep clients informed and up-to-date, contact information is used to communicate with clients regularly regarding the progress of their research. Email communications are saved as a record of correspondence. All communication is private and not shared with anyone outside of Celtic Kinfolk.
Clients are given the option to provide a mailing address for a physical copy of their final research report on its completion. Any address given by the client is used solely for this purpose and is not stored or shared with anyone outside of Celtic Kinfolk.
After a research project has been completed, clients’ genealogical and contact information is saved for the duration of at least one year, five years if the client is based in the UK. Clients can request deletion unless it is required by law to store the information for a set time.
Some buttons on our website inform users that their email address will be automatically added to our mailing list. Clients can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.

Clients can request copies of their personal information stored at any time, unless it is outside the specified storage duration, or it is outside the legal requirement to store the information, as any personal information will be deleted beyond the specified storage duration.
